Hello and welcome—I'm so glad you're here.
My name is Shanna Gardner, LPC-S, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I'm deeply passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and discover a sense of peace, purpose, and emotional wellness.
I believe that therapy should be a space where you feel safe, heard, and truly understood. Whether you're dealing with overwhelming stress, navigating a tough life transition, or managing symptoms of anxiety or depression, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
I specialize in helping adults navigate challenges related to depression, anxiety, and life transitions. My therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques to support clients in building coping skills, emotional balance, and self-awareness. I am known for my empathetic nature, active listening skills, and patient approach, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can feel heard and understood. I believe in meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively toward meaningful and lasting change. To accommodate busy schedules, I offer flexible appointment times, including evenings and weekends.
Starting therapy can often make people feel nervous and unsure about what to expect. I understand how hard it is to trust a stranger with such personal thoughts and feelings. I have been working to help others create a safe and productive space to share and grow since 2013.
Hi! I'm a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health NP from Johns Hopkins University (2020) & Family NP from UT Austin (2017), a veteran flight nurse, as well as a certified Yoga instructor & Reiki practitioner. I practice Integrative Psychiatry—merging best practices from Eastern & Western Healthcare for a truly holistic approach. I help adults grappling with mental health challenges to reclaim their life, fostering overall health & mental well-being.
Life can be challenging, and my hope is to encourage others through a compassionate lens. I enjoy working with families with adolescents and adult clients in various life stages who are seeking new ways to deal with life’s stressors, losses and challenges. Reaching out for help takes courage and trust, and I'm honored to be given the opportunity to help. Please email to schedule a 15-minute consultation and appointment. I think of therapy like working out with a physical trainer but for your brain. We will meet once a week, do the tough stuff together then you’ll go out in the world and practice your skills to keep making gains. Unfortunately, since it’s your brain that changes, we won’t have any cool before and after pictures. I have been a counselor in private practice for 4 years and was a school counselor for about 8 years before that.
